Estero, FL (April 5, 2018) –Miromar Outlets is celebrating education with a Block Party filled with a delicious array of food, drinks, live music, dance demonstrations, raffle drawing and more! The event’s proceeds will benefit Dancing Classrooms, a national program that builds social awareness, confidence and self-esteem through the disciplines of ballroom dancing. The Block Party will take place on Friday, April 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. between Ford’s Garage and Naples Flatbread Kitchen & Bar.
Now in its eleventh year, the program is administered locally by The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools and funded by Miromar Outlets. Students participate in 10 weeks of training from certified dance instructors, and show their skills at exhibitions at Miromar Outlets.
The public is encouraged to cha-cha their way to Miromar Outlets for an enjoyable evening with food and drinks provided by Ford’s Garage and Naples Flatbread Kitchen & Bar, extensive raffle prize giveaways, and live music by Claire Liparulo, lead singer of the local band Free Coasters. Special guest Rodney Lopez, the Executive Director for the Dancing Classrooms Program will be joined by 5th grade students from the Lee County Public Schools for dance demonstrations.
The donation of $50 per person or 2 tickets for $75 includes Block Party admission; plus, two drink tickets per person, heavy hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to enter to win extravagant raffle prizes such as hotel stays, Miromar Outlets store gift cards, tickets to local sporting events, etc. Tickets can be purchased online at MiromarOutlets.com/BlockParty.
The final ballroom dancing competition called “Colors of the Rainbow” will be held Saturday, April 21 at 4:00 p.m. at Miromar Design Center in Estero. Dancing Classrooms was brought to the state of Florida and The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools in 2007 0by Margaret Antonier, Founder and CEO of Miromar Development. Since its inception over 8,000 students have had the opportunity to participate in the Dancing Classrooms Program in Lee County.
