Style your girlfriend – style your boyfriend. That was the motto of the challenge we got from the Miromar Outlets in Southwest Florida earlier this year. On the way back from our cruise we of course took the chance to visit on of our favorite shopping locations. Whenever we are in the area we have to spend a couple of hours at the beautiful Outlet Mall. I have so many memories from when my parents took us there many many years ago. It felt like paradise. This time I chose the whole outfit for my fiancé and he did a pretty good job finding cute stuff for me that perfectly fits my style.
Since we are of course convinced that we know each others taste pretty well we decided to do the advanced challenge of styling each other and chose a particularly difficult category. The jeans. Since the jeans is a basic in all our closets this might sound simple. But Daniel would not be my fiancé if he did not know that buying pants with usually is more torment than pleasure. There have been times when tears were involved in the fitting room. On the other hand, pretty much every pair of pants fits him – so unfair!
Surprisingly we found our final outfits a lot faster than expected. At Levis I tracked down this perfectly fitting, dark blue jeans for him which so far he did not own. Combined with a casual print shirt and his beloved sneakers his outfit was completed. He also chose some dark blue jeans for me. For a long time I was looking for ripped jeans and Levis had so many cute ones. The green peplum top he bought at Gap totally fits my style and I have not stopped wearing it since then. It is in the wash all the time. Combined with my new favorite bag by Kate Spade we found a great everyday look for me. I also fell in love with the feminine white blouse from Kate Spade.
To this date we never were disappointed with our shopping experience at Miromar Outlets. We usually leave with a trunk full of bags and always find the best deals at this wonderful shopping destination.
But what do you think? Who of us did better?
